Slide 1

Pilates has been getting a lot of buzz lately, and for good reason. Pilates can be used to strengthen muscles, improve flexibility, and increase endurance.

Clinical Pilates goes one step further and takes a personalised approach. By applying Pilates principles to your specific condition, it can reduce pain, restore mobility, and correct the poor body mechanics that are often the underlying cause of injuries. It’s an excellent compliment to Physiotherapy sessions and can help you to achieve and sustain your rehab goals!

Clinical Pilates at Evolve Physiotherapy

At Evolve, we offer a Clinical Pilates program tailored to suit your individual needs and support your recovery. Our practice is fully equipped with the best Clinical Pilates equipment, allowing you to take advantage of all the benefits Pilates has to offer. Based on your initial assessment, your individual program may focus on strength, endurance, flexibility, stability, or a combination of each. The program can be adjusted as your condition improves.

How our Clinical Pilates Pathway Works

Initial Pilates Assessment (45 minutes)

We begin with a comprehensive assessment of your injuries, and work with you to customise a Pilates program based on your treatment plan and physical status. After the initial assessment, it is advised that you follow up with 2-3 Individual Clinical Pilates sessions (below) prior to joining the Clinical Small Group Classes. Cost: $115 (claimable through private health)

Individual Clinical Pilates 1:1 (30 minutes)

You’ll be led by a physiotherapist through your individualised program in this private rehab-based exercise session. This may include hands-on treatment techniques in addition to Pilates exercises. It is recommended that you complete 2-3 of these sessions prior to joining one of the Clinical Small Group Classes. Cost: $105 (claimable through private health)

Clinical Pilates Small Group Class 4:1 (45 minutes)

These are semi-private sessions where you’ll be led through your individualised program by a physiotherapist. This class has a maximum of 4 participants, so you’ll get plenty of attention and feedback on how you’re progressing. From time to time, we may recommend a 1:1 Pilates session to re-assess and modify your program as needed. Cost: $55 (claimable through private health)
